On the Oxford Center project, we worked with architect, Robert Nebolon, who designed the plans based on a building that stood on this corner in the early 1900's. Winfield Construction Company earned an award from the Berkeley Historical Society for our part in constructing this building.

When the Loma Prieta earthquake struck, our company was working on restoration of Ratto's, a building in the Historical District of downtown Oakland. Our scaffolds were up, and exterior restoration was in progress. None of our work was damaged, and we continued with our project after a slight delay. This photograph was taken just after the work was completed.
