Granite counter tops by Winfield Construction Company

Oxford Street Kitchen

This Berkeley Hills home needed a kitchen upgrade to accommodate various cooking procedures. Winfield Construction Company installed the cooking island and the granite counter tops, the plumbing fixtures, and a dual oven cook station shown in the following photo. The homeowners wanted an eat-in kitchen, so we added a bay window area as an addition to the existing room giving ample room for a dining table. This kitchen was written up in Home Magazine in April 2001.

Dual Oven Cooking Center

The dual ovens are in a separate area of the kitchen, and the drawer is a bread warmer. The cabinets replicate a design used in older homes, which adds to the charm. This part of the kitchen sits to the left of the expanded dining area and well away from the sink where meat preparation is done. This picture appeared in the April 2001 issue of Home Magazine.

Winfield Construction upgrades oldstyle home

Jordan House

We kept the old world charm of this 1928 home while giving it a new lease on the future. The outer stucco was replaced in sections due to termite damage; the garage was given a new foundation and straightened for use again. The back yard was landscaped and a new fence replaced the old.

Jordan House Interior

We refinished the original hardwood floors throughout the house, kept the style of the cabinets but replaced the cabinet doors and knobs. We installed glass fronts in the wooden cabinets over the bar, and Formica counter tops in the kitchen. We upgraded the plumbing fixtures with new faucets and put marble tile on the bathroom floors. All appliances were replaced and new light fixtures were added that reflect the old world style carried throughout the house.
